ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Prof. Julio Acero, MD, DMD, PhD, FDSRCS, FEBOMS, FIBCSOMS, FBLACIBU is an internationally renowned oral and maxillofacial surgeon, currently serving as Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Ramón y Cajal and Puerta de Hierro University Hospitals in Madrid. He is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Alcalá and co-directs the EACMFS Postgraduate Programme in Head and Neck Surgery: Oncology.
Dr. Acero has held numerous prestigious positions, including President of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) from 2016-17 and Past President of the European Association for Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery (EACMFS). He also chairs the IAOMS Visiting Scholars Review Committee, contributing to the global development of maxillofacial surgery. Known for his leadership in complex reconstructive surgery, oncology, and education, Dr. Acero has earned multiple honorary distinctions for his exceptional contributions to the field.
