ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Fernando César Amazonas Lima, MD, DDS, MSc, is a dual-qualified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon holding degrees in Dentistry and Medicine, with advanced specialist training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology. He completed residency training in cranio-maxillofacial surgery and has additional expertise in head and neck surgery.

He currently serves as Chief of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service at the Hospital Federal dos Servidores do Estado in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he is actively involved in clinical care, resident education, and postgraduate training. In addition to his hospital appointment, he maintains private clinical practice and contributes regularly to continuing professional education, scientific meetings, and academic initiatives in cranio-maxillofacial surgery.

His professional interests include cranio-maxillofacial trauma, reconstructive surgery, and surgical education, with ongoing involvement in regional and international professional collaboration.
