ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Rebeka Silva, DMD, FACD

Dr. Rebeka Silva was born in New York and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology from Syracuse University. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Dr. Silva obtained advanced training in Hospital Dentistry from the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center after which she obtained her specialty certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York.


Dr. Dania Tamimi

Dr. Dania Tamimi graduated with a dental degree from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She trained at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and earned a doctorate of medical science (DMSc) and certificate of fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in 2005. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (ABOMR) and is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow). 


Helen Giannakopoulos, DDS, MD, specializes in oral and maxillofacial surgery and is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She practices at University of Pittsburgh Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is affiliated with UPMC Mercy, UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, UPMC Presbyterian, and UPMC Shadyside. Dr. Giannakopoulos received a medical degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Hahnemann University Hospital and completed residencies at Allegheny General Hospital and the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
