TITLE

Ana Luiza Leal: Phenotypes of TMJ Osteoarthritis: Bridging Diagnosis and Clinical Decision-Making

TALK INFO

In this clinically focused lecture, Dr. Ana Luiza Leal explores the evolving concept of temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis as a spectrum of phenotypes rather than a single entity. Participants will learn how structural, inflammatory, mechanical, and pain-dominant phenotypes influence diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment response.

By integrating clinical presentation, imaging findings, and current evidence, this session bridges the gap between diagnosis and real-world clinical decision-making. Emphasis is placed on avoiding one-size-fits-all approaches and selecting personalized management strategies for TMJ OA patients across surgical and non-surgical settings.
