ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dr. Aakshay Gulati is a highly accomplished Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with a specialist interest in reconstructive surgery. Currently based at the Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Dr. Gulati has built a distinguished career, blending clinical excellence, surgical innovation, and a commitment to advancing patient care.
As a dual-qualified surgeon in both medicine and dentistry, Dr. Gulati has undergone extensive training across renowned institutions in the UK and internationally. He holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His multidisciplinary expertise uniquely positions him to address complex craniofacial conditions, head and neck trauma, and oncological defects with innovative reconstructive solutions.
Dr. Gulati specializes in free flap reconstruction, particularly in the head and neck region, where he has demonstrated exceptional skill in managing challenging defects. His surgical repertoire also includes the management of facial deformities, trauma reconstruction, and oral rehabilitation through dental implants.
