In this session, Sunil Aniruth will explore the development of point-of-care capabilities for 3D surgical planning and printing within healthcare systems in Africa. The talk highlights how local hospitals and surgical teams can integrate affordable 3D technologies to improve patient-specific treatment planning, surgical accuracy, and clinical outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on establishing sustainable workflows, training multidisciplinary teams, and overcoming logistical and resource challenges commonly faced in low- and middle-income settings.
