About the event

In this long-term clinical lecture, Sujata Mohanthy reviews her extensive experience in the diagnosis, surgical management, and follow-up of ameloblastoma, a locally aggressive odontogenic tumor of the jaws. Over a period spanning more than two decades, Dr. Mohanthy analyzed patterns of presentation, surgical decision-making, treatment outcomes, and recurrence rates in patients treated for ameloblastoma. The session places special emphasis on evidence-based approaches to surgical planning, selection of resection margins, reconstruction techniques, and strategies for long-term surveillance to minimize recurrence. Through case examples and retrospective insights, the talk highlights how evolving clinical practice and multidisciplinary care have influenced outcomes for patients with this challenging pathology.
