About the event
In this inspiring and patient-centered session, Stephanie Davis highlights the essential role of speech-language pathology (SLP) in the multidisciplinary care of head and neck cancer patients. The lecture explores the continuum of care—from pre-treatment counseling and baseline assessments to post-operative and post-radiation rehabilitation—focusing on swallowing, speech, voice, and overall quality of life.
Emphasis is placed on early intervention, individualized therapy planning, prevention of long-term dysphagia, and functional communication outcomes. Through clinical insights and real-world examples, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of collaborative care models and evidence-based rehabilitation strategies that empower patients throughout their recovery journey, restoring not only function but also confidence and hope.
