About the event

Vascular Malformations in the Head & Neck – Current Overview is a specialised educational session led by Dr Rishabh Shah, a cleft and craniofacial surgeon and head of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at Anand Surgical Hospital, Ahmedabad, with academic affiliation to Karnavati School of Dentistry. In this talk, Dr Shah presents a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of vascular anomalies affecting the head and neck region — a complex group of congenital vascular disorders that include low-flow and high-flow malformations such as capillary, venous, lymphatic and arteriovenous types. The session covers the clinical features that help distinguish the major types of vascular malformations, discusses challenges in diagnosis and management, and highlights current concepts and breakthroughs in treatment strategies to optimise functional and aesthetic outcomes for affected patients.
