About the event

In this focused clinical session, Michael Turner presents an overview of sialoendoscopy — a minimally invasive endoscopic technique used for the diagnosis and management of salivary gland disorders, particularly obstructive conditions such as sialolithiasis (salivary stones), strictures, and chronic sialadenitis. The session explains how sialoendoscopy allows surgeons to directly visualize the salivary ductal system, facilitate stone retrieval, duct dilation, and irrigation, and preserve gland function while minimizing morbidity compared to traditional open surgery. Dr. Turner highlights indications, instrumentation, procedural steps, and decision-making algorithms, along with clinical case examples illustrating how to tailor the approach according to object size, location, and duct anatomy. Practical considerations such as anesthesia options, complication management, and integration with adjunctive imaging are also discussed to enhance procedural success and patient outcomes.

This event is especially valuable for oral and maxillofacial surgeons, ENT surgeons, residents, and allied specialists seeking to incorporate sialoendoscopy into clinical practice or deepen their understanding of salivary gland disease management.
