Mr Abdurahman El-Awa is a Consultant in Oral Surgery and Honoury Senior Clinical Lecturer in Oral Surgery at the School of Clinical Dentistry at The University of Sheffield. He has extensive experience in all aspects of Oral Surgery and has a special interest in Dental Implantology, including bone grafting and sinus surgery procedures as well as providing sedation for the nervous dental patients.


Dr Samuel Atkins graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1999. Following this he undertook several hospital posts in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, during which he gained his MFDS fellowship exam at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He was appointed at the University of Sheffield as a Clinical Lecturer/Honorary Specialist Registrar in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and completed his higher surgical training (ACCOMS) in 2012. Following this he was appointed as Senior Clinical Lecturer/Consultant Oral Surgeon.


Dr. Robert Bolt is a Clinical Lecturer and registered Specialist in Oral Surgery. He is both medically and dentally qualified and is Director of the University of Sheffield’s “One-to-One" dental implantology course. Dr. Bolt completed a PhD relating to the role of the microenvironment in the management of HPV-related oropharyngeal carcinoma in 2015, and continues to work in both clinical and in-vitro fields of research.

Dr. Bolt’s interests include dental implantology, HPV-related oropharyngeal carcinoma, 3D tissue culture modelling, pre- & peri-operative anxiety management, and bone augmentation.


Amr Amin Ghanem BDS,Msc,DDs,MRcsp-Glasgow is an OMFS surgeon and Professor, Chair of OMFS at the British University in Cairo. His special interest is CMF Trauma and Orthognathic surgery. He is passionate about knowledge transfer and capacity development for surgeons globally.
