ABOUT THIS EVENT

Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) remains one of the most powerful techniques for the reconstruction of alveolar ridge defects and the creation of optimal conditions for implant rehabilitation. Recent advances in digital workflows, CAD/CAM technologies, and customized regenerative solutions have significantly expanded the predictability and scope of GBR procedures.

In this lecture, Dr. Alessandro Cucchi will present contemporary surgical approaches to GBR, highlighting the transition from conventional analog techniques to digitally driven treatment concepts. Participants will gain insight into the use of customized titanium meshes, computer-assisted planning, digital innovations for extensive defects, and strategies for managing complex hard- and soft-tissue deficiencies.

Through clinical cases and evidence-based discussion, attendees will explore how digital technologies are transforming bone augmentation procedures and improving outcomes in implant and reconstructive surgery.

SPEAKER

Dr. Alessandro Cucchi DDS, MSc, PhD graduated with honors in Dentistry and Dental Surgery from the University of Verona in 2009 and completed his postgraduate training in Oral Surgery at the University of Milan in 2012. He earned a PhD in Surgical Sciences—Reconstructive Problems in Maxillofacial Surgery—from the University of Bologna in 2016 and subsequently completed advanced training in Periodontal Plastic and Regenerative Surgery at the University of Milan. In 2020, he obtained a Master's degree in Zygomatic Implantology from the University of Pisa.

Dr. Cucchi is internationally recognized for his work in alveolar ridge augmentation, Guided Bone Regeneration, and digital implant surgery. He has authored numerous scientific publications in leading international journals and is a frequent invited speaker at major scientific meetings worldwide. His current research focuses on innovative CAD/CAM technologies and digital solutions for Guided Bone Regeneration. He is the founder of the GBR Academy and an active member of both the Digital Dentistry Society and the Italian Academy of Osseointegration.
