About the event

Orbital Decompression Surgery by Milind Naik is an expert-led session dedicated to the surgical management of proptosis and compressive optic neuropathy, most commonly associated with thyroid eye disease. This presentation provides a comprehensive overview of the indications for orbital decompression, patient selection criteria, and detailed surgical anatomy of the orbit. The lecture outlines various decompression techniques, including multi-wall approaches, and emphasizes strategies to optimize functional and aesthetic outcomes while minimizing complications such as diplopia, infraorbital nerve injury, and sinus-related issues. Attendees gain practical insights into preoperative planning, intraoperative decision-making, and postoperative management, making this session highly valuable for surgeons and specialists involved in orbital and oculoplastic surgery.
