LEAD FACULTY

Chitra Chakravarthy BDS, MDS, Professor and Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Navodaya Dental College and Hospital Raichur in India.  She has been an academician for the past 23 years, has authored a Textbook of Oral and Maxillofacial and authored a Handbook of dental instruments. In addition, she is the director of Spark center for Advanced Dentistry in Hyderabad where she conducts clinical courses for dental students using newer technologies like 3D printing for surgical skill enhancement.

Sabine Girod MD, DDS, PhD, FACS, Professor (em.), Stanford University, United States. She specializes in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and has been teaching globally for more than 20 years.

Reena Rachel John MDS PhD FIBOMS Professor and Associate Dean Research at VMSDC VMRF DU Salem in India. She specializes in the management of oral surgery and oral and maxillofacial pathologies with local, regional flaps and patient specific implants. Her academic career spans almost 3 decades till date. She is a member of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India and a member of academics and research in VMSDC. Reena is a passionate teacher who loves to challenge herself and teach by example. Mentoring students in her institution is her forte.

Sherry Peter, MBBS, BDS, MDS , FDS RCS, FRCS is a Lead Consultant, Department of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery & Orthodontics Aster Medcity, Kochi, Kerala, India. Dr. Sherry Peter is a cranio-maxillofacial surgeon with over 25 years of academic and clinical experience. His expertise spans the management of facial deformities, orthognathic surgery, distraction osteogenesis, and craniofacial surgery. In addition to his extensive work in congenital facial anomalies, he collaborates closely with head and neck oncology and neurosurgical teams on virtual surgical planning and the design of patient-specific implants (PSIs). Passionate about teaching and mentoring, Dr. Peter regularly conducts workshops and training programs on facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and distraction osteogenesis. He is an active member of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India and the Indian Orthodontic Society.
