Expand your expertise in implant rehabilitation. Treat the atrophic posterior maxilla with confidence.
This surgeON hybrid course on Rehabilitation Options for the Atrophic Posterior Maxilla provides structured, evidence-based training to support clinical decision-making in one of implant dentistry’s most demanding anatomical regions. Designed for surgeons, dentists, implantologists, prosthodontists, periodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, residents, and interdisciplinary clinicians, the course strengthens knowledge in advanced implant rehabilitation and contemporary treatment strategies.
Master one of the most challenging areas in implant dentistry — the posterior maxilla. Reduced bone height, compromised bone quality, and sinus proximity require precise planning, advanced surgical skills, and sound prosthetic judgment. This course delivers a clinically focused, state-of-the-art learning experience combining expert online lectures with interactive case discussions. Participants explore both established protocols and emerging solutions for managing the atrophic posterior maxilla, helping refine decision-making, prevent complications, and achieve predictable long-term outcomes.
Participants may complete the online component independently to earn a Certificate of Completion. Completion of the certified hybrid module allows participants to earn up to 13 ADA CERP continuing education credits.
COURSE TOPICS
• Anatomical challenges of the posterior maxilla
• Surgical augmentation and implant placement strategies
• Prosthetic planning and restoration considerations
• Complication management and long-term outcomes
COURSE FORMAT
This hybrid educational program is structured in two sequential phases to maximize learning and clinical integration. Participants first complete expert-led online lectures covering scientific foundations, diagnostic principles, treatment planning considerations, and contemporary surgical and prosthetic approaches to posterior maxillary rehabilitation.
These lectures are followed by this live interactive online case discussions where participants engage directly with faculty to analyze clinical scenarios, discuss decision-making pathways, review complications, and refine treatment strategies. Completion of the lecture component prior to the case discussions ensures a high-level, clinically meaningful educational exchange.
Flexible, evidence-based, and clinically focused, this course supports development of advanced skills and confident decision-making in posterior maxillary implant rehabilitation.
